Yanga head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has revealed that the time available to prepare for their league clash against Simba has put his team in a strong position to face their biggest rivals.
Mngqithi said he had two weeks to prepare his squad, study their opponents in detail, and identify their strengths and weaknesses. As Yanga head into tomorrow’s Mainland Premier League encounter at Uhuru Stadium, he believes they know exactly what they need to do.
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Mngqithi said his team attaches great importance to the full 90 minutes and expressed confidence that they would be celebrating at the final whistle.
"We have had enough time to prepare for the derby, spending approximately two weeks doing everything possible to improve our tactical system."
"We have examined their strengths and weaknesses and conducted an in-depth analysis of individual players we believe could pose a threat to us."
"At this stage, there is nothing more that I or the technical bench can do. We can only wait to see what happens on the pitch in what will be a difficult and highly competitive match for both sides."
"I am very hopeful that, at the end of the match, we will be the ones celebrating victory," Mngqithi said.
