Yanga Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has confirmed that the club's first-choice goalkeeper, Djigui Diarra, suffered back pain yesterday and was placed under medical supervision.
Kamwe said the medical team has continued to monitor the goalkeeper, adding that his availability for the CAF Champions League match against CFFA will depend on the final medical report, which is expected tomorrow.
"The decision on whether Diarra will miss tomorrow's match or play will depend on the test results, and the club will issue an official statement once they are available."
"However, if Diarra is not fit, Yanga have other capable goalkeepers who can fill his position, including Abuutwalib Mshery and Hussein Masalanga."
"Having these goalkeepers gives us confidence. Diarra's health is important, and a decision will be made after we receive the doctors' findings," he said.
Yanga completed their final preparations this evening at Azam Complex, the venue where tomorrow's match will be played.
