Young Yanga right-back Ibrahim Kazimoto continues to prove that former head coach Manqoba Mngqithi was right to promote him from the club's Under-20 team to the senior squad.
Kazimoto previously played as a centre-back for the Under-20 side, but he has adapted impressively to his new role and is now emerging as a serious contender for a place in that position.
The defender has featured in Yanga's last three matches, playing the full 90 minutes in each after stepping in for the injured Yao Kouassi.
It could be argued that Yao's absence has not been a major setback for Wananchi, thanks to the impressive work Kazimoto has done in his place.
Furthermore, Kazimoto has increased competition for the position, posing a serious challenge to the likes of Kibwana Shomari, Yao Kouassi and even Israel Mwenda, who recently returned to the squad.
Kibwana's famous saying, "There is work to be done in my position," still rings true, given the level of competition he now faces for his place in the team.
