Simba SC are considering setting up a big screen to allow their fans to watch the CAF Champions League match against FC 15 de Agosto de Akonibé together, following the restriction preventing supporters from attending the game at the stadium.
Simba SC Media and Communications Manager Ahmed Ali said the club is continuing discussions with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and FC 15 de Agosto de Akonibé to explore ways of allowing Simba supporters to cheer on their team from the stadium.
Ahmed said the absence of fans at the match is a blow to the club and its supporters, who have played a significant role in motivating the team during various competitions.
However, he said the club is exploring alternative ways to bring supporters together to watch their team compete in this stage of continental competition, with plans to install a big screen among the options being considered.
Under the proposed arrangement, fans would have an opportunity to gather at one venue and watch the match together if the club officially implements the plan.
Simba SC are scheduled to face FC 15 de Agosto de Akonibé in a two-legged CAF Champions League tie, with the first match set for October 20, 2026, and the return leg expected to take place on October 25, 2026.
