According to information from Ghana, winger Christian Atsu's funeral may be held as part of the nation's respect for the winger who made the country great in football.
The body of Atsu, who died after the earthquake occurred in Turkey two weeks ago, was returned to his country Ghana last Sunday.
The plane carrying the body finally landed in Accra and his coffin was carried by the Ghanaian military.
Atsu was found dead last Saturday pinned against a wall at his home in southern Turkey.
He was playing for Hatayspor club. The winger played for the Ghana national team 65 times and helped his team reach the final of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 31-year-old player also played for Premier League clubs Chelsea and Newcastle.
