The Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports, Dr. Pindi Chana has appointed Ali Mayay Tembele as Tanzania's representative in the Commonwealth Sports Advisory Board (CABOS) for three years.
The statement issued yesterday March 10, 2023 by the Communication Unit from the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports, has explained that the move is due to Tanzania's diplomatic strengthening in the field of sports.
Mayay is the Acting Director of Sports Development in the country and will now represent the country in the CABOS Board and become a representative member of the African continent.
CABOS is a body that advises the Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Nations and member governments to ensure there is strong government involvement and representation in the development of policies and their implementation.
