The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has congratulated Simba and Yanga for taking advantage of the opportunity she gave by promising Sh. 5 million for every goal scored in the CAF Competitions that they participate
President Samia has also asked the players of those teams to continue scoring goals as the opportunity continues and the money is still there.
Speaking yesterday at Uhuru Stadium, Dar es Salaam, during the celebration of two years of leadership of the Sixth Phase Government, organized by the Women's Union of CCM Tanzania (UWT), President Samia said within two years of the leadership of that phase, sports have increased significantly and this is due to the importance that the government has given to youth activities, sports and artists, traditions and cultures of Tanzanians.
Discussing the participation of Simba in the CAF Champions League and Yanga in the CAF Confederations Cup, President Samia congratulated the clubs for doing well and bringing praise to Tanzania.
