Ineos owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim are set to submit new bids for Manchester United after the deadline was extended for their bid amid confusion
The bidders were told they had until 21:00 GMT on Wednesday to submit second, revised bids
According to BBC Sport, several other proposed investors gave their views which led to the extension
It is not known when the new deadline will be. Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim are the only publicly announced bidders
Earlier on Wednesday evening there was information from close sources that the bidders had submitted a new bid.
However, it was later revealed that they asked for more time to make improvements to their offer
