Kane scored one of England's goals yesterday in the Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy, England winning 2-1
Kane reached 54 goals surpassing Rooney who was leading with 53 goals
"Congratulations to Kane for becoming England's all-time top goalscorer. I knew it wouldn't take long but you've broken the record quick than expected, congratulations Harry," said Rooney
Kane only needed 81 matches to break Rooney's record of 53 goals in 120 matches
