Juventus deducted 10 points

Juventus club has received two blows on Monday night; a 4-1 defeat against Empoli in their Serie A game and another 10-point deduction following a year-long investigation into inappropriate transfer deals

Earlier this season, the Old Lady of Turin was fined 15 points for financial offenses and giving false accounts on transfer contracts, a sentence that went hand in hand with the suspension of some of its former leaders

However, it appealed and all 15 points were returned. A new verdict was announced on Monday, May 22, where this time Juventus were awarded 10 points and witnessed falling in the Serie A standings from second place with 69 points to 7th place with 59 points.

Unlike the 'Calciopoli' scandal, which saw Juventus relegated and stripped of two Serie A titles in 2006, this current sentence relates to financial irregularities and 'Plusvalenza' (false calculations on transfer deals) essentially profiting from the sale of a player from one club to another without revealing the correct calculation

AC Club has benefited from the misfortunes of Juventus in the race to finish in the top four. AC Milan, who will face Juventus this weekend, will enter the game having moved up to fourth place in the Serie A table.
