The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports has submitted an official complaint to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) asking Yanga SC to pay for the damage done in their game against Al Ahly
The Ministry's letter says, the Ministry gave permission for an international game between Yanga SC (Tanzania) against Al-Ahly (Egypt) at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium held on December 2
However, the Ministry has received complaints from the management of the stadium where Yanga SC fans are being complained about lighting fireworks while the game is in progress and causing violence that led to some seats being uprooted
The ministry strongly condemns this action and asks Yanga SC to immediately contact the management of the stadium to determine the extent of the problem and see the best way to solve it
With this letter, the Ministry officially submits this complaint to TFF as it is the sponsor of these clubs for the use of this stadium to inform Yanga SC that it should pay for the maintenance of the seats that were removed by the fans during this game
>Also warn their fans to immediately stop these behaviors so that you can continue to develop sports and protect Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
