The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has noted that some Premier League matches will begin to be refereed with the help of video referee technology (VAR)
This is following the decision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), to give Tanzania VAR equipment that will be closed in some stadiums
Speaking at the general meeting of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) which is being held in Iringa, the president of the federation said, Wallace Karia said that they are preparing a procedure for the closure of the equipment in collaboration with the wadu
"Let me give you the good news that we have received VAR from CAF and this is a continuation of the good relationship with CAF. The experts came in yesterday to give training. It will be held in standard (quality) stadiums"
"The committee of referees, since we have given them the responsibility of management, you will help in training and beauty. We have a CAF referee trainer, Leslie Liunda, who will be the coordinator of that training," he said
Karia has said that they are also looking at the possibility of VAR being closed at the Amaan Zanzibar Stadium if it is to ensure that the game of football continues to be successful in this country
