Edu has been in Brazil on personal matters and returned to the UK at the end of last week
According to Sky Sports News, the Brazilian has been linked to join Evangelos Marinakis' group of clubs
Evangelos Marinakis currently includes clubs like Nottingham Forest, Olympiacos and Rio Ave
However, it is still unknown if that is the reason that led to Edu's sudden resignation
Edu (42) has a close relationship with Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, who has rebuilt Arsenal and together they have worked together to rebuild Arsenal and bring it back into the race for the English Premier League title
