TFF denied rumors about Ame

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) is surprised by the information circulating on the internet about the legitimacy of player Muhamed Ame to play for the national team (Taifa Stars)

We would like to inform the public that Ame is among the 23 players who were listed for the match against Guinea. Before the match, the Stars players were checked by the opposing team and the Commissioner where they were allowed to play

The AFCON qualifying match was played in Dar es Salaam where Stars won 1-0, thus qualifying to play in the finals

TFF does not have any information from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), that Ame's participation in the match was illegal

Therefore, the information on the internet should not stop Tanzanians from continuing to celebrate the victory of Taifa Stars.
