Simba looking for another record in Angola

Simba Sc tonight will be at the November 11 Stadium, Luanda, Angola to face Bravos in the game of the fifth round of the group stage of the Confederation Cup (CAF CC)

The expectation of Simba fans today is to see their team do what they did 31 years ago when they managed to qualify for the final stage of the CAF Cup, which is now called the Confederation Cup, against Atletico Spotivo Aviacao, away from home

Today Simba needs a win or a draw to qualify for the quarter-finals from Group A. If it succeeds in doing so, it will be the second time since in 1993, Simba managed to enter the final stage of the CAF Cup, when it came out against Atletico Spotivo Aviacao being in the country, in the second game after the first game played at the National Stadium Dar es Salaam (now Uhuru), Simba won 3-1

If it wins, it will also be the second time because in the country, on October 9 in 2022, it beat Primeiro de Agosto 3-1, in the first round of the Champions League while the second leg was played in the country, on October 16, 2022, Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam, won 1-0, and managed to reach the group stage

The head coach of Simba, Fadlu Davids, has said that all the preparations for the game have been completed while saying that he will go to face Bravos do Maquis with a different system. He said that the team is dangerous when they are at home, preferring to possess the ball, so he has developed a strategy to ensure that they deny them that opportunity

Bravos have won all the matches they played at home in the Federation Cup this season, so it is clear that coach Fadlu Davids' boys will need to be at their best to ensure they do not lose the game
