Singida Black Stars spokesman Hassan Masanza has confirmed that some of their foreign players have applied for Tanzanian citizenship but the club has not been involved in convincing them and that they have taken those decisions of their own free will
Yesterday information spread about players Emmanuel Keyekeh (27) a citizen of Ghana, Arthur Bada (22) a citizen of the Ivory Coast, Amas Obasogie (22) a citizen of Nigeria and Damaro Camara (21) a citizen of Guinea who were granted Tanzanian citizenship after to complete all immigration procedures
Masanza has said that Singida BS does not have the authority to change the player's citizenship, if the club cooperated with the players in completing their status as Tanzanians
"It is true, some of our players have applied for Tanzanian citizenship with their consent, the matter has gone well and it has been completed. We do not have the authority to change the player's citizenship, they expressed their interest, followed the procedures of the relevant authorities and we supported them," said Masanza
More information has indicated that TFF intends to include the stars in the national team squad that will participate in the CHAN and Afcon championships later this year
