Yanga Club has announced its position following the misunderstanding that arose and led to the Premier League game number 184 between Yanga and Simba which was supposed to be played on Saturday March 08 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Through an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee held on March 09, Yanga has announced that it will not participate in game number 184 on any date that will be scheduled
The champions of Tanzania Mainland have asked to be given the right to WIN according to the rules when one team boycotts a match
However, Yanga has also announced its lack of confidence in the Chairman of the League Steering Committee, Steven Mnguto, and the Secretary of the Committee, Almas Kasongo, calling on the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) to dissolve the Committee and appoint honest leaders with good intentions and the broader interests of Tanzanian football
In the statement issued by the club, it confirmed that Simba participated in the meeting leading up to the game 'pre-match' which was held on March 07 and at that meeting did not provide any information about their intention to use Benjamin Mkapa Stadium at night.
