Stars determined to win in Morocco

The Tanzania National Team 'Taifa Stars' left the country yesterday for Morocco for the 2026 World Cup qualifying Group E match against hosts Morocco to be played on March 26

The match will be held at the Honneur Stadium in the Municipality of d'Oujda. Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Hamis Mwinjuma handed over the National flag to the Taifa Stars players before the trip via Kilimanjaro International Airport

Morocco leads Group E with 12 points after 4 matches followed by Niger with 6 points, Tanzania is 3rd with 6 points, Zambia is 4th with 3 points after 4 matches and Congo is 5th with no points

To keep alive the hopes of qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in history, Tanzania needs a win or even a draw away from home

The 2026 World Cup finals will be held between June 11 and July 19, 2926 and will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.
