Simba chairman Murtaza Mangungu has urged the fans to be ready for the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC) quarter-final second leg against Al Masry which will be played next Wednesday, April 09 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Speaking after the first leg match played in Egypt and Simba conceded a 2-0 defeat, Mangungu said it was not the result they expected but the spirit and morale shown by the players in the game, gives them the confidence to win the second leg and qualify for the semi-finals
"If you look at the game, we dominated to a large extent, it is unfortunate that we missed many clear goals, we created many chances but we were not lucky enough to score goals"
"I believe the coach and the technical bench will have the opportunity to work on the shortcomings that emerged today"
"We have the ability to beat this team at home, even here we had the ability to beat them but with "It's just unfortunate that the decisions were also not right on our side."
"In these African games we agree with that but now we are waiting for them to come home and see how we will use our home stadium."
"It's a great thing for fans, members and all those who wish Simba well to put together strength and make strong preparations to face them. This is a team that we have the ability to take out and advance to the semi-finals," said Mangungu
