After a 1-0 win over Stellenbosch in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC) semi-final, Simba Head Coach Fadlu Davids has set a strategy to ensure his team wins the second leg away and secure a ticket to the final
On Sunday, April 27, Simba will be away in Durban, South Africa, to fight for a result that will send them to the semi-finals
Fadlu said Simba will not go to South Africa to defend themselves, but they are going to seek victory and he believes they will succeed
"We have laid the foundation, but the house is not built yet. We are going into the second leg with only one goal, to find an early goal and finish the job. We will not play defensively. We will not play with fear. We do not want a draw. We want a victory"
Fadlu has indicated that in the preparations they will make before their trip to South Africa, they will focus on attacking plans from the first minute to seek an early goal at least ten minutes into the match first, which will give their hosts a tough time.
"We know Stellenbosch is a young team with speed, but they also have a big weakness when they are put under pressure. They are closed. That is what we want to exploit. We do not want to give them a chance to organize themselves. We are going to attack them," said Fadlu.
Simba will need a win, a draw or if they lose then not more than a two-goal difference and if they score an away goal, they will force their hosts to score from three goals to qualify
