League Board to be taken court

Yanga club elders have threatened to go to court to prevent the announcement of the premier league champion this season if Yanga is not treated fairly while demanding TPLB to come out in public to state the reason that led to the postponement of game number 184 between Yanga and Simba which was supposed to be played on March 08 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium

Speaking after the conclusion of the meeting that brought together Yanga elders held at the club's headquarters, Jangwani, Mzee Msumi said they will go to court to prevent the premier league champion from being announced until a legal clarification is issued by TPLB/TFF

"We cannot leave a few people who want to cause chaos under the pretext of using our club, we will go to court and stop them from being declared champions until a legal clarification is issued or they come to court to prove to us that so and so have given bribes or have done this"

"It should be known that there are people who have spent a lot of money, they have come from the regions, They have come from abroad and have purchased tickets to witness the derby, we have decided to defend them to protect the honor of Tanzanian football"

"We will not care that there is an Afcon tournament, because this is our fundamental right and we want to get an explanation for the allegations made," said Mzee Msumi

Yanga elders have insisted that the club does not belong to Engineer Hersi Said or his Vice President Arafat Haji but to Yanga members

Therefore, they support the club's position not to play the match announced by the league board on June 15 because no explanation was given on the rule used to postpone match number 184
