The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has appointed Ahmed Arajiga as the center referee for today's FA Cup final match between Yanga and Singida Black Stars, scheduled for this Sunday.
This marks the second consecutive time that Arajiga will officiate an FA Cup final, following his appointment last season when Yanga defeated Azam via a 6-5 penalty shootout.
In addition to that, Arajiga also officiated this season's FA Cup semifinal match, where Singida Black Stars beat Simba 3-1. He had also been appointed to officiate the Kariakoo Derby between Yanga and Simba, initially scheduled for March 8, 2025, but later postponed to June 15, and finally played on June 25, 2025, with referees brought in from Egypt.
For tonight’s final, which kicks off at 8:15 PM at the New Amaan Complex Stadium in Zanzibar, Arajiga will be assisted by Frank Komba — who was also his assistant in last season’s final — along with Hamdani Said as the second assistant referee. The fourth official will be Tatu Malogo.
