The draw for the preliminary and first-round matches of the CAF Champions League was held today in Dar es Salaam, where Simba was drawn to face Botswana’s Gaborone United in the preliminary stage.
The first leg will be played in Botswana, with the return leg taking place a week later in Dar es Salaam.
If Simba progresses to the first round, they will face the winner of the match between Simba Bhora of Zimbabwe and Nsingizini Hotspurs of Malawi.
In the first round, Simba will also start away from home and conclude the tie on home soil.
The preliminary round matches are scheduled for September 19–21 (first leg) and September 26–28 (second leg).
