Simba SC have intensified their transfer business as part of a broader plan to rebuild and strengthen their squad, completing moves for attacking midfielder Inno Jospin Loemba and winger Anicet Oura.
The Wekundu wa Msimbazi are understood to have finalized the signing of 21-year-old Inno Loemba from Colombe Sports of Cameroon. Loemba, a Congolese international from Brazzaville, joins Simba as one of the key pieces in reshaping the club’s attacking unit following an inconsistent start to the season.
Loemba was the captain of Colombe Sports and is regarded as a promising attacking midfielder with leadership qualities despite his young age. His arrival comes shortly after Simba successfully re-signed experienced playmaker Clatous Chama, signaling a clear intention to reinforce creativity and goal threat from midfield.
At the same time, Simba have also secured the services of versatile winger Anicet Oura, who joins the club as a free agent after the expiry of his contract with Finnish side IF Gnistan. The 26-year-old Ivorian is capable of operating on either flank as well as in the number 10 role, giving the technical bench multiple tactical options.
Oura’s signing is a direct recommendation from head coach Steve Barker, who previously worked with the player at Stellenbosch. During the 2023/24 season with the South African club, Oura scored eight goals in 35 appearances across all competitions before moving to Finland.
With the January transfer window set to close on January 30, Simba have made it clear they are sparing no effort in overhauling their squad. Several foreign players who failed to meet expectations have been moved on, making way for new faces expected to inject quality, energy, and competition into the team.
The additions of Loemba and Oura underline Simba’s determination to bounce back strongly and compete effectively both domestically and on the continental stage.
