Former Young Africans (Yanga) star Stephane Aziz Ki has left Morocco’s Wydad AC and joined Libya’s Al Ittihad on a two-year contract.
The imminent signing of former Sevilla and France national team star Wissam Ben Yedder by Wydad AC is said to have played a significant role in persuading the club to allow Aziz Ki to leave.
Al Ittihad have paid a fee of US$300,000 (approximately Tsh 825 million) to secure the signature of the Burkina Faso national team midfielder.
Clubs such as Kaizer Chiefs and MC Alger were also reported to be interested in the highly rated midfielder, who was named the NBC Premier League Player of the Season for 2023/24.
