Former Yanga Coach Miloud Hamdi Resigns from Ismaily SC

Former Young Africans SC (Yanga) head coach Miloud Hamdi has officially announced his resignation from his coaching role at Egyptian club Ismaily SC.

Hamdi made the announcement yesterday, Monday, January 26, 2026, after serving Ismaily for just six months since joining the club on July 3, 2025, following his departure from Yanga.

In his farewell message, Hamdi expressed gratitude to the club’s management, players, and staff, emphasizing the unity they shared despite facing various challenges.

Former Young Africans SC (Yanga) head coach Miloud Hamdi has officially announced his resignation from his coaching position at Egyptian club Ismaily SC.

Hamdi confirmed the decision on Monday, January 26, 2026, after only six months in charge, having joined the club on July 3, 2025, from Yanga.

In his goodbye message, Hamdi thanked the club’s leadership, players, and staff, highlighting the strong togetherness they maintained despite difficult circumstances.

“I thank you for the moments we shared during difficult times. Despite the challenges, we managed to stay united. We were a true family, including the medical staff and the club secretariat led by Ahmed Salah,” said Hamdi.

“Following my resignation from the club, I will especially remember the good times we shared with our fans. I wish you all the best.”

Although the coach did not openly state the reasons for his resignation, football analysts suggest that Ismaily’s poor results under his leadership may have been the main factor behind the decision.

Since officially taking charge in July last year, Ismaily have played a total of 19 matches across all competitions, recording only four wins, two draws, and 13 defeats—a record that placed the club under heavy pressure from fans and football stakeholders in Egypt.
