The transfer window closed at exactly 11:59 p.m., and Yanga president Engineer Hersi Said ensured it ended in dramatic fashion.
In the “dead of night,” Yanga unveiled the signing of dangerous Gambian winger Buba Jammeh (24).
This came as a genuine surprise to the Citizens, as the deal was completed in the very final minutes of the window.
Buba joins Yanga from Interclube and is capable of playing on both wings. It appears Yanga have brought him in as a replacement for Ecuadorian winger Celestin Ecua, who was sent out on loan to JS Kabylie, with Buba also being left-footed.
It is now clear that his signing has paved the way for the departure of midfielder Moussa Balla Conte, for whom Yanga had received several offers, including interest from Raja Casablanca.
