Former Secretary General of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Wilfred Kidao, has been appointed as a member of the Management Board of TRA United Sports Club.
The board was officially inaugurated yesterday by the Commissioner General of TRA, Yusuph Juma Mwenda.
The board will be chaired by Edmund Kawamala, working alongside eight other members from various sectors, including leaders from private institutions and TRA staff.
The main goal of the board is to fully manage TRA United, making it a competitive team both locally and internationally, while using sports to educate citizens on the importance of paying taxes voluntarily.
Commissioner Mwenda emphasized that the team was created not just for entertainment, but also to strengthen the connection between TRA and the public.
"We have created this team to teach citizens the importance of paying taxes and to ensure it becomes a model of discipline and good performance," Mwenda said.
