Yanga striker Clement Mzize has completed his medical treatment in South Africa and is expected to be sidelined for approximately four months.
Following a series of injuries, Yanga’s management ensured that the star player received proper medical care and sufficient recovery time before returning to the field.
Mzize was injured at the start of the season on September 27, 2025, during an African Champions League match against Wiliete Benguela of Angola. He then underwent a lengthy treatment process, including surgery in December 2025, before rejoining the squad.
After returning, the 2025 CAF Best Goal of the Year award winner showcased his form during preparations for the final group-stage match of the African Champions League against JS Kabylie.
According to Yanga club doctor Moses Etutu, Mzize will remain sidelined until the end of this season and is expected to return to competitive action in the next season.
