Simba Give Jonathan Sowah Three Days to Respond to Disciplinary Allegations

Simba SC have given their Ghanaian striker, Jonathan Sowah, three days to respond to several disciplinary allegations that have sparked widespread discussion among football fans and stakeholders in the country.

The move comes as Sowah continues to remain out of the squad after being suspended by the club’s management, raising questions about his future at Simba.

Allegations Facing Sowah

According to information from within the club, Simba are seeking an official explanation from the player regarding several incidents alleged to have violated team rules and discipline. Some of the issues he is expected to respond to include:

  • Arriving late to several team meetings

  • Refusing to participate in additional training sessions (top-up training sessions)

  • Reporting late to training

  • Traveling to Angola wearing an SL Benfica jersey instead of the club’s official attire

  • Committing deliberate fouls on the pitch that could lead to red cards, including during matches against Azam FC and Espérance Sportive de Tunis

If proven, these allegations could seriously affect the player’s position within the Simba squad, a club that traditionally places strong emphasis on discipline among its players.

Jonathan Sowah joined Simba with high expectations after impressing during his time with Singida Black Stars. However, disciplinary challenges now appear to be disrupting his journey at the club, which boasts one of the largest fan bases in the country.
