Football fans in Tanzania are preparing for an exciting NBC Premier League clash between Azam FC and Young Africans (Yanga) scheduled for March 15, 2026, at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

However, new information has confirmed that the match will now officially be played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Confirmation from Azam FC
The information was confirmed by Azam FC’s Head of Information and Communications, Thabith Chumwi Zakaria, popularly known as Zakazakazi.
He explained that he contacted the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Gerson Msigwa, who confirmed that renovation work at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium has not yet started, meaning there is no restriction for the match to be played there.

Holding the match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is expected to increase excitement among fans because of the venue’s large capacity to accommodate many spectators.
