Simba attacking midfielder Morice Abraham has been added to the Tanzania national team, “Taifa Stars,” squad as it prepares for the FIFA Series tournament set to take place in Rwanda during the current FIFA international break.
Taifa Stars head coach Miguel Gamondi confirmed Abraham’s inclusion, stating that he replaces Simon Msuva, who was unable to join the team.
“Msuva has not been able to travel to the country due to the situation in Iraq. It has been difficult to secure a flight in time, so we have called up Morice Abraham to take his place.”
“We are progressing well with our preparations, and we expect four players who had not yet arrived in camp to report today,” he said.
Tanzania will participate in the 2026 FIFA Series in Kigali, Rwanda, with matches scheduled to take place from March 26–30, 2026, at Pele Stadium. Tanzania has been placed in Group B alongside Liechtenstein, Aruba, and Macau.
The team will play its first match on March 26, 2026, against Liechtenstein. The tournament is part of the official FIFA calendar.
