Manchester United have not yet begun formal talks with any candidates expected to take over the permanent managerial position ahead of the summer transfer window, with the club’s top leadership emphasizing that they will not rush the sensitive decision-making process.
According to a report from Sky Sports, United’s bosses are being very cautious to ensure they choose the right option for the team’s future, rather than making a quick appointment that could have long-term consequences.
The report also states that if Manchester United manage to qualify for the UEFA Champions League at the end of this season, it will be difficult for the club’s leadership to ignore the possibility of giving Michael Carrick the job on a permanent basis.
Carrick, who previously served Manchester United as a player and as part of the coaching staff, is seen as a strong option who could be prioritized if the team achieves significant success under his interim leadership.
