The Tanzania national team, Taifa Stars, will take to the field today, Sunday, March 29, 2026, to face Macau in the FIFA Series third-place playoff match.
The match will be played at Pele Stadium in Kigali and will be the final game for both teams after failing to secure wins in their previous matches.
Taifa Stars lost 1-0 to Liechtenstein, while Macau were beaten 4-1 by Aruba, results that saw both teams miss out on a place in the final.
Following those results, Aruba and Liechtenstein are set to meet in the final of the friendly tournament organized by FIFA.
Taifa Stars coach Miguel Gamondi is expected to make changes to his lineup in order to strengthen the attack, which appeared ineffective in the previous match.
On the other hand, Macau are also expected to go into the match aiming for a win to erase the memory of their heavy defeat against Aruba.
The FIFA Series tournament was introduced by FIFA to give various national teams the opportunity to play international friendlies and gain competitive experience.
