Tottenham Secure First 2026 League Win as Relegation Battle Intensifies

Tottenham Hotspur secured their first Premier League victory of 2026 after defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 in a match played on Saturday.

The only goal of the game, scored by Palhinha, was enough to earn Spurs three crucial points and end a poor run of results that had placed the team in serious danger of relegation.

Despite the win, Tottenham remain in 18th place, two points behind West Ham in the league standings, and will need more positive results in the remaining matches to avoid relegation.

In another match, West Ham United claimed a 2-1 victory over Everton in a closely contested encounter.

West Ham took the lead early before Everton equalized, but a late goal secured an important win for the home side. The result boosts West Ham’s hopes of staying in the Premier League, as they move slightly away from the relegation zone.

In other results, Fulham defeated Aston Villa 1-0, while Liverpool secured a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
