Reliable sources indicate that Yanga SC have begun preliminary talks with former Raja Casablanca head coach Fadlu Davids regarding the possibility of taking over as the club’s new head coach.
Reports suggest that Yanga’s leadership is highly impressed by the South African tactician due to his strong track record across several African clubs, including his role in improving Simba SC and guiding them to the CAF Confederation Cup final.
Fadlu recently parted ways with Raja Casablanca by mutual consent following a run of two consecutive league defeats in Morocco that ended their hopes of winning the championship.
It is also understood that Yanga have been monitoring the coach for some time, particularly because of his ability to build tactically disciplined teams capable of competing at continental level. This was evident during his time at Simba SC, where he significantly improved the team’s performances in CAF competitions.
At this stage, discussions are still in their early phases, with both parties negotiating terms before any formal agreement is reached. However, indications suggest the coach could be open to joining Yanga if an agreement is finalized.
Yanga are currently being coached by Abdihamid Moalin after parting ways with Portuguese tactician Pedro Gonçalves.
