Simba SC Head of Information and Communications Ahmed Ali has said the CRDB Cup is a prestigious trophy and that the club has every reason to celebrate if they are crowned champions.
Speaking shortly after Simba's arrival in Pemba ahead of the final against Azam FC, Ahmed said the club would hold celebrations befitting Simba's status and the importance of the competition if they lift the trophy.
"Let me make it clear—if we win this trophy, we will celebrate. Our celebrations will reflect the status and stature of our club, as well as the significance of the trophy itself."
"It will be a five-star victory parade, not a rushed celebration," Ahmed said.
Despite acknowledging the difficulty of the final, Ahmed said Simba are highly motivated to win the title and are determined to achieve their objective.
"It's a final. We know the quality and strength of our opponents, but we also believe we are the bigger and stronger club. We have a huge desire to win this trophy, and there are more people counting on us than on them."
"We have countless voices behind us pushing us to bring this trophy home. Our supporters give us the motivation, confidence, and fighting spirit we need heading into this final."
"We are here with one mission only—to win the CRDB Cup and deliver it to our fans," he added.
