Azam FC owner Jamal Bakhresa has reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the way football authorities in Tanzania are handling certain matters involving his club, claiming that Azam FC feels it is not being treated fairly.
According to the reports, Bakhresa stated that if Azam FC continues to feel undervalued within the country's football system, the club could consider withdrawing from the Tanzania Mainland Premier League and instead competing in the Zanzibar Premier League.
Commenting on the medal presentation ceremony, Bakhresa also claimed that the medal awarded to Azam FC's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) was intended for the individual rather than the entire team. He added that if that was indeed the case, then the recipient should keep the medal personally.
Despite his concerns, Bakhresa called on the country's football leaders to make decisions based on fairness, transparency, and the broader interests of developing Tanzanian football. He emphasized that the growth and integrity of the sport should remain a top priority for all stakeholders.
