Former footballer Kibwana Shomari has revealed that the very first thing he did after receiving his first salary at Mtibwa Sugar was to buy a house for his mother. According to Shomari, his mother had no home of her own and had been living with relatives, a situation that deeply motivated him to change her life as soon as he started earning as a professional footballer.
"When I received my first salary at Mtibwa, I bought my mother a house. She didn't have a place of her own to stay; she was living with relatives," Shomari said. His emotional story highlights the sacrifices many athletes make for their families and the importance of giving back to the people who supported them before success.
