Tanzania national team captain Mbwana Samatta has officially announced his retirement from international football, bringing to an end a distinguished career with Taifa Stars after many years of representing his country.
In a heartfelt farewell message, Samatta thanked Tanzanians for their unwavering support throughout his international career, saying he was proud to represent Tanzania wherever football took him.

As the saying goes, everything that has a beginning must come to an end. This marks the end of my journey as a player on the pitch, but not the end of my love and support for Tanzania's national team. I will now join you in the stands to cheer on our boys.
