Colombian central defender Yeison Fuentes (23) has requested to leave Azam FC during the current transfer window as he seeks a new challenge outside Tanzania, despite still being under contract with the club until 2027.
Reports indicate that Fuentes respectfully submitted his request to the Azam FC management, thanking the club for the support and cooperation he has received since joining. He has also asked the club's leadership to consider any offers that may come from teams interested in signing him.
A source close to the player says Fuentes believes the time has come to take the next step in his career and is keen on exploring opportunities in leagues outside Tanzania.
Azam FC has not yet issued an official response to the request and is still evaluating the defender's future, as he has one year remaining on his contract. A final decision is expected once the club receives and reviews offers from interested clubs for the Colombian defender.
