Young Africans SC (Yanga) are in the final stages of negotiations to sign Mouna FC left-back Samba Koné ahead of the new season. The 23-year-old Ivorian defender is reportedly one of the club's top targets as they look to strengthen their backline.
According to reports, Koné's contract with Mouna FC expires this month, paving the way for him to join Yanga as a free agent without a transfer fee. Talks over personal terms are said to be progressing well, with the player reportedly keen on making the move to the Jangwani-based club.
Koné previously spent time on loan at Algeria's Paradou AC before returning to Mouna FC, where he has continued to impress. Last season, he registered four assists and earned recognition as one of the standout left-backs in the Ivorian top flight.
If the deal is completed, Koné is expected to replace Boka at left-back while adding depth and competition to Yanga's squad as the club prepares for both domestic and continental competitions next season.
