Tanzania international forward Kibu Denis could be set for another major transfer just six months after joining Libya's Al-Nasr SC, following reports that Algerian club CR Belouizdad have submitted an official offer worth US$400,000 (more than TSh 1.05 billion) to sign him.
According to sources close to the transfer window, Al-Nasr have received the offer but are yet to accept it, believing the bid falls short of their valuation. The Libyan club is reportedly seeking at least US$500,000 before agreeing to sell the Taifa Stars forward.
Negotiations between CR Belouizdad, Al-Nasr, and the player's representatives are ongoing as all parties work toward reaching an agreement before the transfer window closes.
Reports indicate that Kibu Denis is open to taking on a new challenge in Algeria if the two clubs can agree on a transfer fee. A move would see him play in the Algerian Ligue 1 for the first time, one of Africa's most competitive domestic leagues.
If the deal is completed at Al-Nasr's asking price, the Libyan club would make a significant profit only months after signing Kibu from Simba SC for US$250,000. A transfer worth US$500,000 would generate a profit of approximately US$250,000.
Kibu joined Al-Nasr from Simba after attracting interest from several North African clubs thanks to his impressive performances in the Tanzania Premier League and CAF competitions. His pace, versatility across the attacking positions, and goal contributions have made him one of Tanzania's most closely watched players in the transfer market.
