Azam FC is expected to pay a fine of 50 million Tanzanian shillings after the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Disciplinary Committee issued a punishment following the club’s decision to boycott the medal presentation ceremony for the runners-up after the CRDB Bank Federation Cup final.
The action came after Azam FC failed to fully participate in the medal awarding ceremony following their 1-0 defeat to Simba SC in the final.
According to the decision by the TFF Disciplinary Committee, the club was fined 50 million shillings for violating competition regulations by refusing to take part in the official medal presentation ceremony.
Azam FC now has the option to comply with the punishment or follow the appeal procedures as provided under TFF regulations.
