FIFA, in partnership with sportswear giant Adidas, has unveiled a special match ball that will be used from the semi-final stage through to the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The ball, named Trionda Final, is a special edition of the Trionda ball that has been used from the group stage up to the quarter-finals of the tournament. According to Adidas, the ball maintains the same technology and design as the original version but features a new appearance that reflects the importance of the final stages of the World Cup.
The design of the Trionda Final pays tribute to the four host cities of the tournament’s final stages: Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, and New York/New Jersey. The ball features a combination of gold, white, and black colours, with the gold representing the prestige and value of the FIFA World Cup trophy, while the black gives the ball a unique appearance as teams battle for the world title.
