Simba SC have officially unveiled defensive midfielder Kelvin Nashon as a new signing ahead of the upcoming season after he signed a two-year contract with the club.
Nashon joins the Msimbazi Reds as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Singida Black Stars. Last season, the midfielder spent the campaign on loan at Pamba Jiji, where his impressive performances attracted the attention of the Tanzanian Premier League giants.
Reports indicate that Simba completed an agreement to sign Nashon before the end of last season, making him one of the club's earliest acquisitions during the current transfer window.
Nashon's signing is part of head coach Steve Barker's plans to strengthen the midfield, particularly in the defensive midfield role. Barker believes the midfielder's qualities will add greater competition and stability in the center of the pitch, where he is expected to partner Yusuph Kagoma.
