Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) president Wallace Karia has announced that the federation has revised its competition regulations to strengthen discipline and ensure fairness in Tanzanian football.
Speaking to sports journalists at the TFF offices, Karia said that from now on, any team found using unofficial dressing rooms without valid reasons will face a severe penalty of five points being deducted, even if the team wins the match in question.
Karia explained that the decision was reached following several incidents involving violations of dressing room procedures, which could undermine the integrity of competitions.
In addition to amending the regulations, TFF has also prepared special equipment to be installed in dressing rooms to help control unacceptable practices, including the use of gas or any conditions that could endanger the safety and health of players and team officials.
He emphasized that if investigations confirm that a team used a different dressing room from the one officially assigned at the stadium without a valid reason or emergency situation, disciplinary action will be taken immediately in accordance with the new regulations.
