Yanga president Hersi Said has officially confirmed the signing of defensive midfielder Fred Ngoma from Moroccan club Olympique Club de Safi.
Ngoma arrives at Yanga to strengthen the defensive midfield position, an area the club has been looking to reinforce since the departure of Khalid Aucho.
The 28-year-old Congo-Brazzaville international was a key player for Olympique Club de Safi (OC Safi) in Morocco's Botola Pro last season. He also helped the club reach the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Born on November 24, 1997, in Pointe-Noire, Ngoma brings extensive experience in African football. He began his professional career in Congo-Brazzaville with CSMD Diables Noirs, AC Léopards, and CS La Mancha before establishing himself at AS Otôho between 2018 and 2021. During his time there, he competed in CAF inter-club competitions and earned call-ups to the Congo-Brazzaville national team.
In addition to his experience in his home country, Ngoma has spent several years playing in North Africa. He represented Tunisia's CA Bizertin from 2021 to 2023 before moving to Libya, where he played for Al-Ittihad Tripoli and Al-Akhdar.
