CPA Joseph Rwegasira, Managing Director of Jayrutty Investment Ltd and the official supplier of Simba SC kits, has said that Simba supporters hold the greatest responsibility in the fight against counterfeit jerseys by choosing to purchase only authentic club merchandise. He stressed that the battle against fake products cannot be won without the full cooperation of the club's fan base.
Rwegasira revealed that Jayrutty Investment will continue working closely with law enforcement agencies to combat the illegal trade at every level of the distribution chain. Last season, the company, in partnership with the Tanzania Police Force, seized counterfeit Simba jerseys in several regions, including Morogoro, Singida, Mwanza, and Geita, with legal action taken against those involved. The company also introduced unique identification numbers on official jerseys to help distinguish genuine products from counterfeit ones.
He added that Jayrutty Investment will strengthen its anti-counterfeit campaign throughout the new season and urged supporters to purchase jerseys only from authorized distributors while reporting any suspected fake merchandise. According to Rwegasira, these efforts will help protect the club's revenue and ensure Simba SC fully benefits from sales of its official products.
