Barcelona have emerged as strong contenders in the race to sign Manchester City midfielder Rodri, with recent reports claiming the Spanish international is open to joining the Catalan giants.
According to multiple European media reports, negotiations between Rodri and Real Madrid have stalled, giving Barcelona the opportunity to enter the race for the 2026 FIFA World Cup winner with Spain.
It is reported that Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has already spoken with Rodri about his potential role in the squad. The midfielder is said to be attracted by the club's long-term project and the chance to reunite with several of his Spain teammates, including Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Pau Cubarsí and Lamine Yamal.
